Monkland Cheesemakers are the new chapter of the much-loved business that Karen & Mark Hindle of Monkland Cheese Dairy have nurtured for 28 years. We are honoured to continue the legacy of Herefordshire cheesemaking. From October 2026 we will also be running the lovely onsite shop & cafe. Our 45 minute Cheese Tour is a fantastic introduction for anyone interested in learning about artisan, raw milk cheese making.
Our tours run at 10am & 11am, an exciting time in the production day, where visitors will see the milk forming into the gel that will gradually become our cheeses.
You will hear from our cheesemakers about the methods, observations and timings they are using to make cheese. You have the opportunity to ask questions and visit the aromatic cheese stores where our hard cheeses mature.
At the end of the tour you can enjoy a tasting of our cheeses.
It is a great experience to get involved with for the passionate foodie, the history enthusiast or the lover of Herefordshire. Our cheeses are rooted in our landscape using a recipe that is over a century old.
